Research Interests

Characterization of biofilms present in Industry

Understanding the behaviour and control of food-borne pathogens in the in the food industries namely in the dairy industry. Development of quantitative analytical methodologies and risk tools to manage existing and emerging microbiological, contaminant issues and the identification and characterisation of exposure pathways and/or sources.

Characterization of  foodborne pathogens

Identification of the genes involved in biofilm formation by proteomic approaches.

Modulation of thermal inactivation of pathogens and surrogate testing.

Evaluation of disinfectant susceptibility and virulence assessment.
