📅12th Nov – Moorepark Farm Walk

Come and explore life on a working farm at Moorepark with our exciting event! You’ll get to learn all about cows, grass, and milk from our friendly scientists. Find out how milking machines work and how much milk cows produce each day, join in a fun experiment using milk, and discover why dairy farming is important in Ireland. Learn about how grass grows and why it’s the perfect food for our cows, then visit the calf shed to see how we keep young cows healthy. It’s a fun-filled day to see farm science in action!

Watch exciting demonstrations and learn so much from our fantastic scientists. Compete with other local schools, answer questions about how plants grow, where our food comes from, and how science helps farmers look after animals and the land. It’s a great chance to learn more about the world around us, show off your science skills, and maybe even win some cool prizes!
