Stephanie Ronan

Stephanie qualified with degree in Veterinary Medicine from University College Dublin in June 1993. She spent 8 years in mixed veterinary practice in County Wicklow. In 2001 she joined the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) and worked as a Veterinary Inspector in a variety of policy areas including BSE, Animal By-products and Animal Welfare during Transport. In 2014 she took on a Superintending Veterinary Inspector role in the area of Exotic Disease Prevention and Control. In 2020 she joined DAFM’s Animal Welfare Division where she continues to work in the area of farm animal welfare policy development.
