Let’s Talk Trees – Adding Value to your Farm – Galway

The Teagasc Forestry Development Department and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) are hosting four free information events in October and November 2025.

Join us on Tuesday, 21 October from 7pm – 10:30pm for a Let’s Talk Trees – Town Hall Meeting in the Shearwater Hotel, Marina Point, Dunlo, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, H53 F5P9.

Let’s Talk Trees will include:

Two short presentations from DAFM and Teagasc on:

• afforestation grant and premium details; and,
• how forestry complements other farm income support measures.

A conversation will take place between Minister Michael Healy-Rae TD, Minister of State for Forestry, Farm Safety and Horticulture and a forest owner about their forestry journey.

Individual clinics with professional forestry staff.

The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
