Strategies for grassland management in the coming weeks
DairyBeef 500 Manager, Alan Dillon joins Catherine Egan on this week’s episode of the Beef Edge podcast.
Providing an update on how farmers in the campaign are recovering from drought conditions, he outlines the steps they will take in terms of grassland management over the coming weeks.
Alan outlines fertiliser programmes and closing for second-cut silage and he advises farmers to continue feeding until growth rates increase on farms.
He also speaks of the DairyBeef 500 Campaign’s upcoming national open day, which takes place on the farm of Ciaran Bartley, Boher, Co. Limerick, on June 29th at 6pm.
