A preview of the Broiler Conference 2025

Rebecca Tierney, Teagasc Poultry Advisor, previews the upcoming Teagasc Broiler Conferences on this episode of the Poultry Edge podcast.

Taking place on Tuesday, October 21 in the Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan, and on Thursday, October 23 in The Longcourt House Hotel, Newcastle West, Limerick, Rebecca outlines that a number of speakers will cover a variety of topics at the key networking event. Speakers include:

  • Colm Ronan will discuss Mycotoxins, how they impact broiler production, signs to look out for and what to do if you notice these signs
  • The Nuevo team will brings us the latest information on a new method of dealing with lameness in broilers, a common and ongoing issue
  • Aonghus Lane, will look at the issue of Cocci on broiler farms, and the cost implications if left untreated and how we can deal with the issue
  • Mukhtar Muhammad, will bring us the learnings from the EU project Broiler Net, in which Ireland has been a partner for the past 3 years
  • Teagasc’s Kevin Connolly and Hugh McEneaney will detail some of the considerations for succession and inheritance for their farms
  • Josje Hakker will deliver the Broiler Signals training workshop, giving our attendees advice on how to maximum profitability through management on farm.

Along with expert speakers, the event will also feature a number of companies and exhibitors, offering broiler producers and those involved in the industry networking opportunities so come along early to meet, chat and get the latest information on nutrition, renewables, health equipment and much more.
