The Teagasc Organics time will host a webinar on Thursday, November 27 at 7.30pm, focusing on the recently re-opened Organic Farming Scheme (OFS).
On November 19, the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon TD announced the opening of the OFS.
“Huge opportunities exist for organic farmers to grow arable crops to meet the demand for organic livestock feed and food grade oats,” Minister Heydon said, which is why this re-opening is focused on organic tillage production.
To coincide with this launch, the Teagasc Organics team will host its Let’s Talk Webinar on Thursday, November 27. Topics to be discussed include steps to organic conversion and the Organic Farming Scheme, along with Organic Farming Scheme scoring and case studies.
