Teagasc has reviewed the consultation document with great interest and, through this submission, would like to offer further considerations to inform the development of a national carbon farming framework. Given the restricted timeline for this public consultation, it was not possible to conduct detailed quantitative analyses of each of the principles. The views presented are qualitative in nature and draw on Teagasc’s extensive experience in greenhouse gas research related to agriculture and land use, as well as ongoing engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
This submission has been prepared by Teagasc Climate Centre, which brings together expertise from across Teagasc’s research, education and knowledge transfer programmes.
