Ploutos – Data-driven, Sustainable Agri-Food chains is a Horizon 2020 project.
Ploutos implemented 11 living lab-style Sustainable Innovation Pilots (SIPs), each of which brought together a bespoke mix of farmers, agri-businesses, tech providers, and consumers to co-create data-driven innovations in smart farming, food traceability, and new, socially connected business models.
The AgILe lab led the behavioural innovation pillar of the Ploutos project, exploring stakeholders’ values regarding sustainability-oriented innovation, facilitating cross-pilot learning, and identifying & addressing challenges and opportunities. We harnessed experiences and learnings from on-the-ground work with the SIPs and, with end-users, co-designed them into the Ploutos Behavioural Innovation Toolbox. End-users involved in the co-design process were actors involved in the diverse SIPs and also panels of external actors, specifically those involved in implementing interactive projects EU-wide. The aim was to broaden the relevance and end-use of the toolbox to a diversity of places and initiatives leading ground up data-driven innovation.
