New Chairperson of Moorepark Technology Limited Appointed

Aine Hallihan, Director of Research and Development with Carbery Group, has been appointed as the new Chairperson of Moorepark Technology Limited (MTL).

Aine has over 25 years of experience in dairy, food and ingredients industries across research, innovation and commercialisation,

Based in Fermoy, County Cork, Moorepark Technology Ltd is a joint venture between Teagasc and the Irish Dairy Industry and consists of a pilot-plant facility offering versatile pilot-scale processing equipment and services to support the food industry.

Speaking in Moorepark, Aine Hallihan said; “We are in the final stages of developing a new strategy for MTL for the next five years and I look forward to working with the Chief Executive, the staff and the shareholders to implement this strategy over the coming years.”

Aine Hallihan takes over from George Macleod, who has completed his term as chairperson of the MTL Board.

Chairperson of the Teagasc Authority Liam Herlihy said; “I congratulate Aine on her appointment and look forward to working with her as Chairperson of MTL. I would also like to thank George for his contribution to the development of MTL over the last number of years.”

Moorepark Technology Limited (MTL) is joint venture company established by Teagasc with shareholders from the Irish Dairy Industry to provide commercial food grade pilot plant & research services for food industry customers and a key constituent of Teagasc Food Research Centre Moorepark in the process of knowledge and technology transfer.
