Aoife Mulry
Milk Quality ResearcherResearch Interests
My research interests focus on advancing milk quality in Ireland through microbiological insight and farm-level solutions. With a PhD in microbiology, I investigate microbial dynamics in raw milk, including biofilm formation in milking equipment and its impact on contamination, hygiene and product shelf life. I am interested in tracking the dairy farm microbiome, thermoduric testing and identifying possible residue risks. My work integrates laboratory diagnostics, field studies and data analytics to identify critical control points and develop evidence-based interventions. I am focused on publishing research findings into practical, real-world solutions which help farmers and processors produce top-quality dairy products.
