Dominic Arthurs, Free Range Egg Producer & Dana Simpson, St David’s Poultry Team

We are delighted to have Dominic Arthurs, a Free Range Egg producer from Northern Ireland to speak to our producers and attendees on his own farm, and how he utilised on-farm data to drive his farm forward. He will joined by Dana Simpson. Dominic has 16,000 free range birds.

Protected Performance – Vaccination in Lay
Dave Hodson, Rosehill Poultry

As we see our laying birds living longer, heading towards 90 weeks, it is important that we consider our vaccination protocols, are they lasting for the full laying cycle now? Do we need to top up with more vaccinations? Dave Hodson from Rosehill Poultry will go through the ins-and-outs of vaccination programmes and practical tips for administering vaccines.

How to Manage Water on Farm
Aonghus Lane, St David’s Poultry Team

Aonghus Lane, a vet with St David’s Poultry Team, detailed last year the reasons WHY water quality is so important for laying hens. This year Aonghus is going to explain what we should test our water for, how to interpret the water results report and finally what practical solutions to maintain water quality on farm for our producers.

Your Layer Flock – What & When to Take Action!
Frank Clerkin, Poultry Vet Services

Frank Clerkin, of Poultry Vet Services, will explain what health parameters and signs our producers should be looking out for, what they should do if they notice any of those and, when is it time to call your vet?

A light lunch will be provided, therefore it is really important that you register for your attendance at our event.

There will be poultry specific exhibitors present on the day, which will provide an excellent opportunity for networking, a catch-up and a chance to see some new technologies for the sector.
