Niall Hammond is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Behavioural & Social Science at Teagasc, focusing on behaviour change and decision-making within the agri-food sector.
He holds a Masters in Conservation Science and a PhD specialising in generating public support for addressing biodiversity conservation challenges. Before joining Teagasc in 2023, Niall worked with Panthera in India and the University of Queensland’s Business Sustainability Initiative in Australia.
His research interests revolve around public perceptions of food and farming, consumer and farmer behaviour, and the management of conflicts related to environmental and social sustainability initiatives
