Jonathan Herron

Research Officer – Livestock Systems

Research Interests

Jonathan is leading the development of the AgNav digital platform in collaboration with Bord Bia and the Irish Cattle Breeding Federation (ICBF). AgNav is a farm and advisor orientated platform that informs users of the current environmental performance of commercial farms, what actions are available and their impact, and facilitates the development of a farm specific action plans. Jonathan is responsible for the development of the underlying methodology and is the project co-ordinator of a DAFM funded project that has the objective of further developing the AgNav platform. Jonathan also has interest in bioeconomic modelling and circular farming systems.
