Profile

Frances McHugh received a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Forestry), UCD and then a M.Agr.Sc (For) on ‘Value maximisation of forest stands through optimal inventory and crosscutting methodologies’.

She completed a Diploma in Leadership Development, IMI Dublin and is a Technical Member of the Society of Irish Foresters.

Frances worked with COFORD (Council of Forest Research and Development) and also in forest inventory. She subsequently worked as Project Director of the Tree Register of Ireland with the Tree Council of Ireland.

She worked as Teagasc Forestry Development Officer in the southeast, and is now Forestry Communications and Digital Media Specialist with Teagasc.
