Post-Doctoral Researcher - Carbon-biogeochemistResearch Interests
The area of research I am focussed on is estimating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and carbon sequestration in cropland, dairy and beef farms. These emissions are influenced by land use/management which also draws my interest in estimating its effect on GHG emission and carbon sequestration using supervised Land Use Land Cover (LULC) classification.
Current Projects
Currently I am working in the ClieNFarm project funded by the European Commission to support the European Green Deal. It aims to co-develop and scale up systemic, locally relevant solutions to foster climate-neutral and climate-resilient farms across Europe.
Another project I am involved in is MARVIC – Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) for carbon farming. The main objective of this project is to equip the EU with a reliable and flexible approach to MRV design and validation, adaptable to different agricultural land uses across European landscapes.
