Event Description: Ever wondered if your plants can get sick just like you? Join Teagasc scientist Marta Niedzicka for a fun and exciting session where you’ll uncover the secret lives of plants! Discover how Teagasc is working to keep our favourite plants strong and healthy. You’ll learn what makes plants thrive, what might make them “sick,” and why their health matters to you and your family. There will be lots of fascinating facts, and plenty of chances to ask questions!

Event Description: Join researchers from across Ireland’s leading scientific centres of excellence including Teagasc, APC Microbiome Ireland, VistaMilk SFI Research Centre, IPIC, University College Cork, MaREI, Tyndall National Institute and many more in a celebration of all things science. From table-top experiments to laboratory demonstrations, science quizzes and so much more, this family-friendly event promises to have something for everyone. Why not grab a cuppa and some lunch from your favourite eateries at the Marina Market and sit back and enjoy our science cinema where we will be showing short films around everything from “How much milk does a cow produce?” to “How is science making us better humans?” (and everything in between!) throughout the event. This free event promises to be fun for all the family (even the family dog!).
