Philip is the 2019 Cattle (Non- Suckling) Grassland Farmer of the Year. This is a replacement heifer contract rearing farm. Philip measures on PastureBase Ireland every week. He has a paddock based system of grazing. Quality after grass is a priority for this farm as waned calves arrive on the farm in June. The level of grazing infrastructure is very good on this farm to facilitate animal movement, particularly in the AI season.
