Bryan is the 2019 Overall & Sustainable Farming Grassland Farmer of the Year. Bryan farms with his wife Gail in Kilmoganny, Co. Kilkenny. They grew an average of 17T Grass DM/Ha over the last 3 years whilst achieving an average of 10 grazings per paddock on their farm. This farm achieved the highest number of grazings per paddock in the competition. Some parts of the farm are up to 1,000 ft above sea level. Whilst they excel in all areas of grassland management they put particular focus on sustainable farming. They use clover to reduce fertiliser N input and are strong advocates of using LESS technology and Protected Urea. Previously, they were members of the Dairyman project.
