Cian Jobe

Cian Jobe is a dairy farmer from Ballymore, Co. Westmeath, originally from Longford.

Cian studied at Ballyhaise Agricultural College, where he completed a Diploma in Dairy Farm Management. He then progressed into farm management and began his first 10-year leased farm in 2025. Since then, he has expanded the business to include a second leased dairy farm.

Today, Cian farms 220 cows across an 80-hectare milking platform.

His approach to farming is centred on keeping things simple and manageable. His key learning is:

“Keep it simple, if it’s simple it is easy to replicate. It can be difficult when expanding and dealing with staff, not everyone will do it the way you do, so just accept 90% and life becomes less stressful.”
