Michael G. and Michael J. Tobin

Michael G. and his son Michael J. Tobin are milking 180 cows on a 61 hectare (ha) platform in New Inn, Co. Tipperary.  The herd achieved a six-week calving rate of 88%, a calving interval of 365 days and produced 484 kg of milk solids per cow in 2025. While the farm is prone to drought, summer crops such as Redstart, together with plenty of silage, help counteract its impact.
