Empowering Women in Agriculture Launch – Roscommon & Longford

Event Time 7:00 pm
Venue Teagasc Roscommon, Abbey Street, Ardnanagh, Roscommon, F42 XC63

A new Women in Farming group is being launched for the Roscommon/Longford region, offering local women involved in agriculture a dedicated space to connect, learn and share experiences. An information evening will take place on Wednesday 28 January at 7pm in the Teagasc Office, Roscommon.

The group will be open to women of all ages and farming backgrounds, whether they are actively farming, taking on more responsibility, returning to agriculture or exploring new on-farm enterprises. Members will have the opportunity to influence the programme of events so that it reflects the real challenges and opportunities they see on the ground. The group will hold regular meetings, practical workshops and expert-led discussions throughout 2026, tailored to the needs and interests of its members. The group will also act as a networking hub where members can share experiences, ask questions in a supportive setting and build confidence in areas such as farm decision-making, leadership and farm business management.

Anyone interested in joining or finding out more is warmly invited to this information evening.

For further information or to express your interest, contact Gabriel Trayers at the Teagasc Roscommon office on 090 6626166 or email gabriel.trayers@teagasc.ie.
