Teagasc is pleased to invite forest owners, landowners, and anyone with an interest in forestry to a practical and informative Forest Management Walk at Killykeen Forest Park, Co Cavan, on Saturday, 11 July. Meeting Point: 54° 0’20.86″N, 7°28’2.24″W, Top Car Park, at 10:30am sharp.
This field-based event offers a unique opportunity to walk through mature and semi-mature woodlands comprised of a diverse range of tree species, while discussing practical forest management options. The event will focus on how forests can be managed to achieve owner objectives while enhancing timber quality, biodiversity, resilience, and long-term sustainability.
