Forest Management Walk – Native Woodland – Kildare

The Teagasc Forestry team have organised a series of Forest Management Walks taking place in various locations across the country.

A Forest Management Walk focusing on Native Woodland is taking place on Wednesday, 17^th June at 7pm at Hartwell Farm, Kill, Co. Kildare, W91 E4E8.

Visit two recently established forests, one in 2020 and 2022. Both established as Native Woodlands. Also visit a small forest garden. The owners are involved in social farming and also have a wellness and therapy centre on the farm. We will see on the night how the forest is used to good effect to benefit both. We had a walk there in March of 2022, and we will see how the forest has developed since.

The Morrison Family are also the Teagasc/ RDS Farm Forestry Award 2026 winners.
