The Teagasc Forestry team have organised a series of Forest Management Walks taking place in various locations across the country.
A Forest Management Walk focusing on NeighbourWoods & Forests on Public Land will take place on Thursday, 18th June at 7pm at Mallow Castle, Mallow, Co. Cork, P51 KC57.
This walk will highlight Native Forests on Public Lands and NeighbourWood forests. Native Forests focus on biodiversity, water protection and climate resilience, while NeighbourWood forests provide accessible community woodlands with strong recreational and environmental value. The walk will explore how these and other forest types support sustainable forest management and deliver benefits for both people and nature.
