Lets Talk Trees – Westmeath

Join us for Talking Timber, free information events hosted by Teagasc Forestry Development Department and The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM).

Each event is run over an evening and opens with two short presentations followed by a conversation with a farmer discussing their forestry journey.

You will also get an opportunity to speak one-to-one with professional forestry staff.

Let’s Talk Trees will include:

• Two short presentations from DAFM and Teagasc on:
  • Afforestation grant and premium details
  • How Forestry complements other farm income support measures
• A panel discussion featuring a farmer sharing their forestry journey, why they chose to plant, and how it works alongside their farm enterprise
• One-to-one clinics with professional forestry staff
