Cut your nitrogen bill with red and white clover
An upcoming webinar from the Teagasc Future Beef team will examine ways farmers can cut their fertiliser bills by using white and red clover in their grazing and silage swards.
The webinar, taking place on April 14, 2026, at 8pm, will feature guests who’ll discuss the potential for fertiliser savings and improved rates of animal performance, along with key advice on establishment and management to maximise output and improve persistency.
Chaired by Teagasc Head of Drystock Knowledge Transfer, Pearse Kelly and featuring contributions from Dr Peter Doyle, Research Officer in Teagasc Grange, and Shane Keaveney, Future Beef Programme Participant, Roscommon, grass-clover systems, costings and nitrogen savings along with practical on-farm grazing and feeding insights will be up for discussion.
