Green Earth Organics – selling organic produce direct

Kenneth and Jenny Keavey started Green Earth Organics in 2006. After two years of organic conversion and having initially delivered vegetables locally around Galway from the family farm near Corrandulla, Co. Galway, Green Earth Organics is now Ireland’s leading organic vegetable box and grocery delivery, selling direct to consumers.

An award-winning company delivering certified organic produce nationwide, Kenneth has around 25 acres of certified organic land from which a wide range of field and protected organic vegetable crops are grown, including brassicas, alliums, root crops, tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, lettuce and other salad leaves.

On August 25, 2026, as part of a Growing Organics Farm Walk, Kenneth and Jenny welcomed visitors to discuss field and polytunnel production of organic vegetables, machinery and equipment and the company’s packing facility.

For field vegetable production, the farm typically uses a one- to two-year fertility-building period, including legumes such as clover, for every three years of cropping. Its main crop sequence includes brassicas, alliums and root crops, followed by clover or green manure. Soil amendments and nutrients permitted under organic standards are applied in response to soil test results and crop requirements.

In the polytunnels, soil fertility is managed through rotation, short-term green manures where appropriate, and permitted soil amendments and nutrients.

Selling direct to thousands of households nationwide through online sales and its farm shop, Green Earth Organics markets all of its own-grown vegetables, alongside purchased and imported fresh produce, directly to customers. Its operations include farm production, packing, administration and delivery, supported by investments in machinery, packing facilities and technology systems for procurement, logistics and marketing.
