Webinars on contract rearing and forming a registered farm partnership

Collaborative Farming Specialist at Teagasc, Ruth Fennell has organised two webinars over the month of January, which will share key information on contract rearing and forming a registered farm partnership.

The first webinar in the series, taking place tonight, January 14 at 7.30pm, will focus on contract rearing – both from a dairy farmer and contract rearer’s perspective.

A number key topics will be covered on the contract rearing webinar, including:

• Is contract rearing an option for you?
• Finding a suitable rearing partner
• Finalising a contract and determining costs
• Hear from contract rearer, John O’Connell from Leitrim and dairy farmer, Paidi Kelly from Cork on how their arrangement is working

Farm Partnerships Webinar

The second webinar in the series will take place on Tuesday, January 21 at 7.30pm, and will provide a step by step guide to forming a registered farm partnership.
