Emmanuel Kuffour Osei
Postdoctoral Fellow - MicrobiologyResearch Interests
Emmanuel Kuffour Osei is a Postdoctoral Fellow whose research areas include antimicrobial resistance and bacteriophage (phage) therapy, microbial genomics, viromics, probiotics, pig health, early-life nutrition and the gut–brain axis. He combines omics technologies, high-throughput in vitro screening, and animal and human studies to investigate microbial communities and their impact on health. His work integrates metagenomics, metabolomics and dietary data to understand host–microbe interactions and identify microbiome-targeted interventions. He is currently working on the MAEVE project, investigating how dietary polyphenols influence the gut microbiome, microbial metabolites, and brain and cognitive health in individuals at increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease.
