Rapid Evaluation of Quality Variations and Methane Emissions in Irish Beef Using Omics Technologies Across Diverse Production Systems

My research interests lie in meat science, omics technologies, and the development of rapid and innovative methods for assessing meat quality and sustainability. As an Industry PhD researcher, I am particularly interested in applying ambient mass spectrometry and omics-based approaches to investigate how factors such as breeding, feeding strategies, and finishing systems influence beef quality. My work also explores the relationship between production systems, methane emissions and meat quality in Irish beef cattle, with the aim of supporting more sustainable and efficient food production. I am passionate about translating advanced analytical techniques into practical applications for the agri-food industry.
