Current Projects
Tara is completing an MSc in Agricultural Innovation Support, jointly delivered by University College Dublin (UCD) and Teagasc. Her studies are funded through the Growing Resilient Organic Farms Sustainably (GROFarmS) project, supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM).
Her research explores the role of knowledge transfer in supporting farmer decision making around the adoption of technologies. Under the guidance of Dr. Edel Kelly (UCD), Dr. Kevin Kilcline and Dr. Mary Ryan (Teagasc) and supported by organic specialists Elaine Leavy and Joe Kelleher, Tara’s work focuses on understanding what drives grassland management decisions on Irish organic livestock farms, with a particular emphasis on organic dairy and beef systems.
