Organic Beef and Lamb Innovation Group
Despite strong growth in organic farming, farmers, finishers, processors and retailers often remain disconnected.
OBLIG brings these stakeholders together to improve coordination, reduce that leakage and support sustainable growth through farmer networks, training and collaboration — helping producers access premium organic markets and earn competitive prices for their produce.
Ireland has increased its number of organic farmers in recent years. The priority now is ensuring that as much of this produce as possible reaches the organic food chain — enabling farmers to secure competitive prices and build thriving family farm businesses for generations to come. By assessing supply chain gaps and promoting innovation, OBLIG aims to create a more efficient, resilient and profitable organic beef and lamb sector.
