Beef Data and Genomics Programme Data Recording

This video explains how farmer recorded data is an important element of the €urostar Index System and is a key requirement for the Beef Data and Genomics Programme.

All herds participating in the BDGP have now received an Animal Events Recording Notebook to aid in the recording of data prior to inputting online.  This video will give you an insight into using the Animal Events Recording Notebook.

€urostar Index Genomics Story

The €urostar Index & Genomics are core elements of the Beef Data and Genomics Programme.  To better explain the €urostar and genomics elements of the programme this video follows the story of a suckler calf from birth right through to the genomics index being made available to the farmer.

Case Study 1 – John O’Hanlon
