National Pig Herd Performance Report 2025

This report provides a detailed analysis of the performance of pig farms that participated in the Teagasc Profit Monitor (PM) recording system during 2025.

The data included in this analysis was collected from a total of 85 herds, representing more than 74,500 sows, equivalent to approximately 55% of the total Irish sow herd. The average herd size within the database was 880 sows, with herd sizes ranging from fewer than 100 sows to more than 2,500 sows.
