Anne Kinsella

Research Officer

Research Interests

Anne is a Senior Economist and a Chartered Certified Accountant, utilising her complementary qualifications in working closely with a number of interdisciplinary teams, nationally and internationally, on economic and financial focused projects. Her research specialises in the area of production economics, farm level agricultural economics research and more recently on sustainable transition through generational renewal via pension and income provisioning. She also actively engages with colleagues at EU level/DG-Agri in her role on Innovation and knowledge exchange, EIP-Agri. Anne is the Irish representation on the international OECD Network for farm level analysis, a role in which she was assigned as the Irish representative by DAFM and in meeting with Irish attaché and delegates. She also has been assigned a role on network team in planning and co-ordination of seminars.

She collaborates with the international consortium of researchers in the International Beef and Sheep Agri- benchmark Network (formerly IFCN - International Farm Comparisons Network) and Global Forum conferences. She has responsibility for provision of Irish national statistics and data and in provision of financial and technical data at farm level.

Anne has been involved in the design and analysis of numerous additional surveys, especially in area of health and safety on Irish farms, succession and Inheritance and risk. She played a pivotal role as project manager in NFS ICT project and in modernising the platform on which it now sits.

She a member of steering committee for Burren-LIFE project (and the Ag-Biota project), which was instrumental in informing agri-environmental policy.

Prior to working in Teagasc, she played a pivotal role in setting up and managing a new fund management department for an International Capital Management company.
