Subhra Sahoo
Post-Doctoral ResearcherResearch Interests
My research focuses on sustainable weed management, with a strong emphasis on non-chemical/cultural weed management approaches to reduce reliance on herbicides while promoting carbon-smart agricultural practices. During my Ph.D., I focused on conservation agriculture and mulch-based weed control strategies. My work also involves enhancing crop productivity, optimizing nutrient dynamics and utilisation of allelochemicals, to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly farming systems through climate-smart and adaptive farming techniques. With a strong interest in sustainable practices across diverse cropping systems, I aim to address evolving agricultural challenges in varied agro ecological contexts, in Irish and global landscapes.
