Develop beyond your research
The Teagasc Level 9 Diploma in Researcher Development is designed to give Post-Doctoral Fellows the knowledge, skills and experience they need to progress their careers and the Development Programme is designed to complement your research.
The Level 9 qualification is structured around four key areas:
Research Skills
Strengthen your research capabilities and develop the skills needed to plan, deliver and communicate high-quality research.
Professionalism & Communication
Build your confidence and effectiveness as a professional researcher, including communication and networking skills.
Leadership & Management
Develop the skills needed to lead projects, collaborate effectively and manage people and resources.
Career Development
Explore your career options, build your professional profile and prepare for your next career move.
How the programme works
The four pillars are delivered over a calendar year, with three intake opportunities each year. Depending on your start date and circumstances, you can complete the Diploma over 12 or 18 months. Most of the learning takes place online, with opportunities for face-to-face sessions at Teagasc Centres where possible.
Assignments and activities are focused on your own professional development. By completing the programme, you will have opportunities to strengthen your CV, develop a Professional Development Plan and expand your professional network.
