‘Busy bees’ at the National Ploughing Championships

Located in the outdoor exhibit, the National Apiculture Programme’s presence highlights its research programme, which is dedicated to supporting beekeepers and the apiculture industry in Ireland.

Funded under the CAP strategic plan by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine and the European Union, the National Apiculture Programme conducts research on various aspects of beekeeping in Ireland, including bee health, hive management and sustainable beekeeping.
