Teagasc plays a key role in contributing to that evidence base through scientific research and translating research findings into practical knowledge and support for farmers, advisors, policymakers and the wider organic sector.
This booklet provides an overview of a growing portfolio of organic research, advisory and knowledge-transfer activities in which Teagasc is involved, co-created with farmers and our research and industry partners.
The programme spans the organic farming and food system: from beef and sheep production, grassland and crop management, and technological innovation, through to farm economics and sustainability, farmer decision-making, knowledge exchange, markets, processing and supply-chain development.
