Total Teagasc income in 2025 was €248 million, which was €8 million (3.3%) higher than in 2024. Total Teagasc expenditure in 2025 was €249 million which was €3 million (1.2%) greater than in 2024.

Irish Sport Horse Studbook Young Breeders team of Robert Deegan, Faye Delaney, Edward Hennessy, Ben Kavanagh, Sarah Kavanagh, Ellen McWey, Rowan-Alice Murphy, and Ashling Wall were crowned reserve world champions at the 2026 WBFSH International Young Breeders World Championships.

When every minute matters

The first few minutes after a serious incident can be critical. Teagasc Level 7 Farm Manager Apprenticeship Programme Open for Applications
Teagasc are accepting applications for the Level 7 Farm Manager Apprenticeship Programme which will start in September 2026. Apprentices will engage in the Earn While you Learn model, whereby they will engage in paid employment (on-the-job training) with a SOLAS Approved Employer during the two-year apprenticeship programme.

Freshwater AQUAHACK event at Mount Lucas Biowetlands IMTA Demonstrator Site
Teagasc, BIM and TUS jointly hosted The Freshwater AQUAHACK event, held on 1 and 2 July at the Circular Integrated Multi-trophic Aquaculture (IMTA) demonstration site at Biowetlands in Mount Lucas, County Offaly, brought together 18 researchers from Irish research-performing institutions for a two-day immersive innovation experience.
