QQI Level 5 Certificate in Horticulture
This is a fulltime course that involves 25 weeks of college work & skills training and an 8 week practical learning period (PLP) in a Teagasc approved horticultural unit. In an average week, students will spend three to four days at the college.

Course Aims
By combining class and practical work at the National Botanic Gardens & Teagasc Ashtown with horticultural work and skills training, students receive a balanced approach to the skills and knowledge required to start a career in horticulture or to progress on to a higher level horticulture course.

Course Fee: €1,200. Where an applicant is the holder of a major award at Level 6 or higher, an additional course charge of €1,000 is applied.
