Signpost Programme General Assembly 2024

The Signpost Conference and General Assembly 2024 took place on Thursday, 21 November in the Talbot Hotel Clonmel.

The conference focused on how our weather has changed due to climate change and is predicted to continue changing. Farming practices will need to adjust to meet greenhouse gas reduction targets and adapt to changing weather patterns. While this poses challenges, Teagasc have aimed to outline a pathway to support farmers through technology, efficiency, and diversification.

A number of Climate Centre researchers presented their latest work on a range of topics including adaptation, soil carbon, cover crops, finishing age and above ground carbon stocks. The papers and presentations can be found on the conference event page.
