Level 6 Component Awards – Part Time

Click here to apply online for the Level 6 Component Award course.

About this course:

At Kildalton College, we offer a range of modules on a part time basis. These Level 6 QQI modules are available for those who have already completed a Level 5 Certificate in Horticulture and want to further develop their horticultural knowledge but cannot commit to a full time course.

These modules may also suit those who are working in the horticultural industry and have a good foundation knowledge of the industry. Applicants who have not completed a full level 5 certificate in horticulture are required to complete an interview as part of the application process. They may also require a letter of support from their employer.

Aim of this course:

These component awards help students build on the horticultural knowledge they already have and develop their management knowledge and skills to further develop their competencies in the horticultural industry.

Modules are offered over a 16 week period from January to May each year. Students will attend between 3 hours or a full day per week depending on the module.

Entry Requirements: Applicants for Level 6 Component Award modules must have a Level 5 Certificate in Horticulture or be working within the relevant horticultural industry.

Applicants will also have to complete an interview as part of the application process.
