Developing an Approach to Evaluating the Adoption of Environmentally Friendly Farming Practices in the Teagasc Signpost Advisory Programme in County Mayo
Project Overview
This study focuses on developing an evaluation framework for assessing the adoption of selected Sustainable Signpost Steps by farmers participating in the Teagasc Signpost Advisory Programme in Co. Mayo. The study will assess how sheep and beef farmers in Mayo are engaging with and implementing certain actions within the “12 Sustainability Steps” and identify the factors influencing the selection and adoption of these actions. Developing an appropriate evaluation framework will help to assess uptake of these actions, improve future programme delivery, and support sustainable agriculture efforts in the Irish agricultural sector.
