Project Title: Farmer preferences for actions needed to adhere to changes in the Nitrates Action Programme

Overview: The research is focusing on Ireland’s 5^th Nitrates Action Programme (NAP). The aim of the research is to identify how dairy farmers plan to adapt their farms to the new regulations. The main areas of focus with dairy farmers will be on the changes associated with soiled water storage and management, the introduction of milk bands and reduced chemical nitrogen fertiliser allowances.
