Project Title: Perfecting the message on silage quality

Overview

Despite considerable effort on behalf of farm advisors, most Irish cattle farmers are not adopting best practice in terms of silage quality. This project aims to understand the reasons for non-adoption and to explore the role of the message and perhaps the language advisers use to describe silage quality.  It is intended to formulate recommendations on how the current “message” about high DMD silage could be changed to gain greater adoption by farmers.
