Michael O’Connor

Project title: An examination of the use of online tools for evaluation and impact assessment of multi-actor innvation in the beef advisory services in Ireland in the context of Covid-19

Project overview: Michaels study proposes to select and implement online tools for evaluation and impact assessment of multi-actor innovation in relation to digitisation of beef advisory services. It aims to provide learnings about online, distance, evaluation, and impact assessment approaches and initiatives in a “COVID-19” context. The overall goal of his research is to contribute to the development of a roadmap for digitisation of the advisory service for the beef sector. His study is associated with three different EU Horizon 2020 Thematic Networks, which include: LIAISON, FAIRshare and BovINE. The impact assessment and evaluation tools which have been co-designed in the LIAISON Project will be presented in a practice-ready handbook and a number of relevant tools will be selected and tested in collaboration with participants in the interactive innovation projects (i.e., BovINE and FAIRshare). Michael will write a reflective thesis on the experiences encompassed by both the implementers and the participants involved in the interactive innovation projects.
