Title: An Evaluation of the Teagasc Level 6 Advanced Programme in Dairy Herd Management and identification of future needs in curriculum development
Description:
The overall aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the Teagasc Level 6 Advanced Programme in Agriculture (Dairy Herd Management), and to identify future needs in curriculum development. The effectiveness of the course has been evaluated based on the performance of graduates. Their on-farm physical performance was examined through ICBF, and the uptake of innovations and technologies was gauged through a survey. The graduates’ attitudes and opinions of the course were examined through the survey, and a subsequent focus group. Overall, the graduates are performing well and pleased with the course, however there is room for some improvements.
