Project Title: The Development of a Producer Group Model within the Bioenergy Heat Sector
Project Description:
With a target of 12% of total heat consumption to come from renewable sources by 2020, Ireland is once again exploring the potential of energy crops as a source of biomass. The aim of this study is to explore how developing a producer group model can deliver benefits to miscanthus and SRC willow growers through optimising the biomass-to-bioenergy supply chain and determine Teagasc advisors role in achieving this.
